As I begin this new year, I do so on a humble note.
I’ve decided to write every weekday. It’s a bold commitment, especially considering the scale of the goals I’ve set for myself this year. On top of that, I’ve taken on one of the most demanding programs in the world, one that will likely take me the next three years to complete. So I won’t say too much about it for now. What I do know is this: everything ahead of me will require an unusual level of discipline.
The beautiful thing about blogging today is that I can pour my thoughts out exactly as they come, and tools like Gemini or ChatGPT help make them readable. Chances are, you’re reading that refined version. Still, the work, the thinking, the discipline, the showing up, remains very real.
My reflections for 2026 are shaped deeply by the lessons of the past year. I’ve made a conscious decision to no longer allow negative energy around me. I was scarred, deeply, for about two years. 2025 became a year of reset and deep learning for me. My friends showed up in ways I will never forget, and God reminded my wife and me that He is faithful, present, and writing a much bigger story than we can see.
If I had to choose one word for 2026, it would be Excellence.
I will no longer tolerate mediocrity, neither from myself nor from those I work with. I will demand better thinking, stronger plans, and higher-quality execution. I will challenge average ideas and poor delivery. This year marks a major growth phase for our businesses, and I am preparing for it mentally while also being intentional about surrounding myself with the right people to do the work.
I’m aware of the mistakes I made in 2025, and I’m determined not to repeat them. I’ll be putting safeguards in place and leaning fully on God’s grace to help me stay the course.
I truly wish you the best year yet. This year isn’t about trying or hoping, it’s about resilience. It’s about doing what it takes, the right way, with excellence, to achieve ambitious goals. And it’s about rallying the best people you can find, people with the right spirit, to walk the journey with you.
The best is still ahead in 2026. I wish you well.
